Florence High School Enviornmental Science
On Friday, May 30, the Florence High School Environmental Science class participated in the fourth annual kayak float trip on the Brule River, hosted by Florence County DNR Warden, Kelly Crotty. Students from science classes at Forest Park High School in Crystal Falls also participated, and other Wisconsin and Michigan Wardens were part of the group. Wisconsin DNR fisheries biologists educated students on the various species of fish in the Brule by setting fish survey nets and showing the various species to students. We were treated to lunch, served by the wardens. It was a wonderful day appreciating our Northwoods resources, and students greatly appreciate the efforts of Kelly Crotty and the other DNR wardens.
